Sunday 16th

Tough day. Weather not quite as favourable as in recent days so really digging it out for every shift.  Some decent sized swells around to push us along whenever they arrived (4 – 5 m).  Local wildlife becoming more common with tuna, dorado and flying fish all making an appearance.  With +1000  miles done at this stage we are now over 1 third of the way there.  Next stop.... halfway.

  1. More power to your elbow Rob. Sure it's all downhill once you get to the Mid-Atlantic ridge! All the best from all your Dun Laoghaire cousins in St. Michael's R.C. Great to see a fellow skiff rower take on an ocean. - Ger.

  6. Hi Rob,
I've been keeping an eye on your trip.........its unbelievable what ye are doing. I often think of ye rowing away in the tiny boat in the middle of the ocean when we are living our normal lives…….there’s a kids character called ‘Igglepiggle’ we watch 3 times a day that always brings you to mind – I’ll tell you about that over a few pints!!

Fair play to you - keep it up, you’re nearly there!

Keep yourself safe and all the best,
    Truck

I'm actually not related to you, but I do know some loo-la's from Bray who are (Ruth & Iseult). They've been sharing updates on Facebook. Congrats on the 1st record and all the best over the coming days. (that goes for the rest of the crew, too. I'm sure they're helping you out now and then!)
